Subject: Midsummer Night’s Dream
I hope you won’t regret the happy spark
you showed an actor in a Shakespeare play
upon Midsummer’s Night in City Park
where laughter, lust and magic had their say.
I’m glad you thought my Bottom was quite fine
(my thoughts on yours I’ll keep discreetly hid!)
but now the play is done I have some time
to join with friends, to laugh and play and kid
around with new and old companions, all
good fun. I’m sure I will see more of you
as summer days unfold: this town is small
and common friends we have, both Sam and Chu.
Meantime I have the memory of your face
where moonlight through the trees made shadowed lace.

It’s wonderful that you’re going ahead with this project – or whatever you want to call it… I love the tone you strike right from the beginning from the obvious jokes to the poetic final line – it’s a beautiful image!
Congratulations on a great beginning!
The jokes only get more obvious as it goes on
I’ll be faintly amazed if I carry it off, but so far, so good. Thanks for the encouragement!
Finally, something interesting to read on the web!
