Subject: The Epistemology of Love
“How can I know?” you ask me of your feelings
which I must confess is fair enough
to ask… why trust a heart that’s wildly reeling,
confused and doubtful, I know it must be tough
to see the truth amongst the chaos now
that fills your mind, it isn’t one bit easy
to find the certainty that lets one vow
that this is love… you’re right in feeling queasy
as your heart is telling you a tale
that goes against your choices in the past
while your resolutions slowly fail
while your doubts are mounting hard and fast.
All I can say is when your love is true
Your doubts will fade, leaving only you.
